Driving Comic
After posting this on Facebook I've confirmed that I am not completely crazy for being afraid of this.
Or am I??

Sunglasses
Today has not gotten off to a great start. Right before I left for work, my guinea pig Apollo died in my arms. I had a bad feeling he was on his last stretch of life lately because he's been eating like crazy, and that's exactly what his brother Wilson did before he passed away.
Today was also my 1 year Twitterversary, and that really puts things into perspective. I can't believe how quickly time has passed. I started that Twitter account right after I got back from the SCBWI regional conference and it was my first step to begin a push for marketing myself and my illustrations. I only recently started my Facebook page a couple of weeks ago. Facebook's a difficult puzzle to figure out, however. I'm not anticipating a lot of success with it, I just really wanted to make sure I had covered a majority of the social networking world.
Here's my latest webcomic, about sunglasses.

Tea Party Under the Sea
I'm working on a personal illustration and trying to get into the habit of planning my grayscale values ahead of time. This is what I have so far.
I started coloring it today and realized it's going to take me forever. I think I may be going about it in a really stupid manner...
I also can never seem to get my chip-to-salsa ratio right.
I keep getting news about my website and how it will be ready in just a few short days. It's been a long few short days, but luckily I'm not being held up too much because I'm still unsure of what I want to send out for my postcards when my site is ready.
I'm hoping when I'm finished with this I like it enough to use it for postcards.

Happy Valentine's Day
A few Valentine's I made for 2014. A lot of people really go out of their way to announce how much they hate Valentine's Day. I don't really get it. It's similar to people who hate Dave Matthews. If you really hate it, why do you feel so strongly about it that you're compelled to make a big announcement about how much you hate it? Shouldn't it be the last thing from your mind?
If anything Valentine's Day is just a nice way to break up the never-ending mundaneness that is Winter. What's so wrong with that? End of rant. Happy Valentine's Day :^)

Sad Mailbox
Just a quick doodle for Valentine's Day 2014. This holiday is kind of sneaking up on me. Not that Valentine's Day requires a lot of preparations, but I was planning on at least making a batch of cookies..

My website!
I'm not entirely sure of whether or not this blog will find itself on my new website. It's currently being programmed and there will be a blog, but it might be separate. Perhaps I will be better about updating that blog :)
I'm in a whirlwind of buzzing activity at the moment. I registered and was accepted into the Buffalo Book Fair, where I will be selling my alphabet prints. Eep! It's very scary to me, putting my art out there for the world to see and judge. What if I don't sell a single print? I think if I can manage to break even and earn back the $60 that I spent to participate I will consider myself a success at least for the first try.
I've got a lot of marketing ideas in the works, so although the fair is not until April 5th & 6th, I've got a lot of work to do to prepare.
I'm rounding the corner to finish a set of letters for a friend. She wanted to go with a beach-y color scheme. Here's hoping other people will love the prints as much as she does!
