Wow! This is really cool. It has so much depth for one thing, and the buildings are awesome. Did you cut and past building shapes from newsprint and then ink/paint over them? Love the colors, too.
Oh gosh thank you! This was all done in photoshop, the building shapes were tediously made using the pen tool and then covered w/ a layer of newspaper jpegs. This was really just an attempt to see how to work with "vector" shapes in photoshop, for some reason I never caught on how to use the pen tool in ps, and I always had no problem in ai. After all those buildings I got it down now though ;) lol
Oh, this is just so great I don't even know what to say! The personality of the mouse is perfect but the depth, color and lines are all so fantastic. I love the mix of textures here as well. Nicely done!
