One of the many things I miss from the 90's is Pappyland...obviously. It was a show that encouraged you to draw with the host! Every morning Kyra and I would sit down with Pappy and struggle to follow along while he drew.
The problem was that Pappy somehow drew with a giant black marker without making a single mistake the entire time, so if you needed to redraw something you'd start falling behind and the end result would most likely be terrible.
And forget coloring. Pappy used these little stumps of crayons he retrieved from his shirt pocket and colored even faster than he drew. In the end we'd sign the bottom of our drawings "To: Kyra, Love: Jessie" and vice versa and that would be that. I actually saved all of our terrible drawings in a trapper keeper somewhere...I'd love to find it because I have a feeling it would be hilarious.
I really hope I made our clothes 90's-tastic enough. I won't deny that when I drew the squiggles on my shirt I was definitely singing in my head "When I wake up in the mornin' and the 'larm gives of a warnin'..."
